OCZ has received acclaim for it’s very low latency (wait time) on it’s 533MHz memory. This memory will not disappoint if you are looking to give some extra gusto to your machine.
The price of this memory puts it right in the price range of other brand name memory. As mentioned at the beginning, low latency or wait time helps to improve the performance of memory. Although not the only thing it is a factor.
As a standard upgrade this is great. Many manufacturers specify low quality memory when assembling a computer. By putting in memory that has higher (worse) latencies they can get cheaper memory and pass the savings on.
By upgrading to higher quality memory you effectively replace the bad stuff with good. Even if you don’t increase the size of your computer’s memory, the performance increase will still be there.
Note: If you add this to a system with high latency memory, the whole system works down at the level of the slowest memory stick.
So if your are looking to improve your computer without a major drain on your pocket, this is a good choice.
